Self-worth is determined by many different factors; our core values, environment, family, friends, relationships gone wrong and those that have authority in our lives like teachers and employers.
the question is: who is responsible for your feeling or sense of self-worth? The answer is as easy as the definition – you are responsible for your self-worth.
The definition and the answer seem so simple, it is all of the stuff in between that takes some serious work! There are countless books, blogs, seminars and hands on workshops out there on this very topic. And you never want to discount well meaning advice, especially if it is from your “Bestie”.
Getting started is easier than you think. Start looking at the beautiful person that looks back at you in the mirror. Love the look that comes right back to you. Accept the fact that you are, indeed, enough! Accept the fact that you are worthy of love. Often, the best pep talk will happen right there in your bathroom or bedroom. Mirrors are kind of like we are, they come in all shapes and sizes. Find one that suits you or just stick to the basic medicine cabinet mirror. Mirror work can be an amazing thing.
